Area Calculation

The formulas for the area of different shapes are as follows:

Area of a Triangle:
Area = 1/2 × base × height

Area of a Square:
Area = side × side
or
Area = side^2

Area of a Rectangle:
Area = length × width

Area of a Rhombus:
Area = 1/2 × diagonal1 × diagonal2

Where:

For a triangle, the base and height are the perpendicular distances from the base to the opposite vertex.
For a square, all sides have equal lengths.
For a rectangle, length and width are the measures of the opposite sides.
For a rhombus, diagonal1 and diagonal2 are the lengths of the two perpendicular diagonals.
