Little Bear’s Sleepy Adventure
In a forest so deep, where the tall trees stand, Lived Little Bear, brown and soft as the sand. Each night before bed, he looked to the sky, And watched as the stars twinkled way up high. One night, Little Bear couldn’t fall asleep, Though he tried closing his eyes, counting sheep. He tossed and he turned, and gave a small sigh, “Oh, why can’t I sleep?” he said with a cry. So he tiptoed outside, where the night breeze blew, And wandered along in the grass wet with dew. The owl hooted softly, his feathers so bright, And said, “Close your eyes and imagine the night. Think of a river that flows soft and slow, With waters so calm, as it hums a low flow.” Little Bear listened, his eyes growing heavy, He pictured the river, quiet and steady. He breathed in deep and let out a sigh, As his mind drifted off to the starry sky. Now sleepier still, he turned to his den, Where Mama Bear waited to tuck him in then. She hummed a soft song, gentle and light, And kissed him goodnight under the moon’s light. So, close your eyes and breathe deep like Bear, Dream of adventures and float through the air. For when sleep calls, with stars shining bright, You'll drift off to dreams—goodnight, goodnight.
