Entangled Universe

Verse 1:
In the depths of an ancient wood, where shadows play and light would fade,
Two brothers walked, their fates displayed; Un and Dao, by the river's serenade.
Dao felt the pulse of the earth, its whispering leaves and the secrets they hold,
A deep connection, timeless and bold, calling to him like the tales of old.

Pre-Chorus:
But Un, with eyes like the stormy sea, saw not the beauty but the bounty,
A river to chain, a power to claim, in its flowing currents, a spark to tame.

Chorus:
Oh, the river sings, of unity and divide,
In its reflection, two paths lie side by side.
One of spirit's call, one of power's crave,
In the mirror of the waters, what soul do we save?

Verse 2:
As they tread back to their humble stone, Dao’s heart was stirred by the mystical unknown,
Speaking of bonds to all things grown; the earth, the stars, in an reverent tone.
Yet Un laughed with a scornful air, "Such dreams," he scoffed, "are a fool’s affair,
Who cares for the whispers of trees and stone, when gold and silver can be our throne?"

Bridge:
But Dao, undeterred by scorn, his spirit like the morn, bright and reborn,
Spread his words to those who'd hear, drawing the seekers, far and near.

Verse 3:
Amidst a crowd, Un saw his chance, exploiting faith with finance,
"Help my brother, a prophet, indeed! Your coins for blessings, your wealth for creed."
Together they built from the willing and meek, an empire of faith, on the surface, unique,
Dao’s vision turned to a market of souls, where spirituality’s face met material goals.

Chorus:
Oh, the river sings, of unity and divide,
In its reflection, two paths lie side by side.
One of spirit's call, one of power's crave,
In the mirror of the waters, what soul do we save?

Verse 4:
But corruption’s seed in riches lay, and Un’s dark whims began to sway,
The purity of Dao’s intent, warped into a monument
Of greed wrapped in piety, a temple of anxiety,
Where Dao’s words of deep connection, lost their truth in misdirection.

Bridge 2:
Dao watched as the shadows grew, in halls where light once freely flew,
His heart heavy with unspoken dread, as the path of spirit was misled.

Chorus:
Oh, the river sings, of unity and divide,
In its reflection, two paths lie side by side.
One of spirit's call, one of power's crave,
In the mirror of the waters, what soul do we save?

Verse 5:
Dao, heart torn by lies and schemes, fled the shadows of broken dreams,
To the river's embrace, his refuge, his base, where he found his sacred space.
As water flowed, so clear and true, Dao transformed, became a Du,
Enlightened in the river's hue, preaching the connection anew.

Pre-Chorus 2:
But Un, left with his crumbling throne, faced the hollow void alone,
His empire of dust, his spirit’s rust, in greed’s grip, a soul unjust.

Chorus:
Oh, the river sings, of unity and divide,
In its reflection, two paths lie side by side.
One finds peace in the river’s flow, the other lost to the undertow.
What soul do we save, what path do we pave,
In the mirror of the waters, what truth do we crave?

Verse 6:
Destitute, at the river’s bend, Un sought his brother, his heart to mend,
With repentant tears and a voice so low, he pleaded for a path to undergo.
Dao, a Du now, wise and serene, with eyes that saw what might have been,
Spoke of forgiveness, a journey you own, “One must undu to truly atone.”

Bridge 3:
Yet Un's nature, deeply sown, struggled with the seeds once grown,
Old habits whisper, with silken thread, weaving futures yet to dread.

Chorus:
