What Would Mother Do

Life is happy, no big battles to fight,
Just gentle bumps in the softest light.
So I ask, what did Mother do to make it right?
She ran the extra mile, always just out of sight.
(run the extra mile...)
Bound by impossible conditions,
She’s always found creative solutions.
Her foresight and vision, second to none,
Though her path isn’t clear until the job’s done.
What would Mother do,
when doubt creeps in, and the path’s unknown.
When my expensive degree offers no clue,
I stop and ask, “What would Mother do?”
(Just try…)
She is strong but soft, firm yet kind,
a masterful balance of heart and mind.
Guiding me through, with wisdom refined,
Mother is love, and reason intertwined
What would Mother do,
When life feels heavy, hurt pushes through
When parenting feels like a puzzling haiku,
I ponder, muse, “What would Mother do?”
(Give love…_)
When life refuses to follow my plan,
When fate defies my own strict command,
I search for answers, but none come through,
Humbly I wonder, “What would Mother do?”
(Que sera sera…_)
