toward the hilltop of a line of distant trees
I'm on my knees and back
flat in the grass

with a little bush
a bird is in it singing
the world is ever ringing
winding and afar
busy thoughts have wandered off
and bees are buzzing round and round
I feel the ground

I walk there barefoot
in the sun
I walk through mud and stream
wash my feet
warm and sweet
a far off laughing child
easy running wild
