Road to Youth

Verse 1
The rusty chain of an old bicycle points in a direction
Carrying the unopened wishes of childhood on the back seat
Shadows lengthening and shortening under the street light
The sound of stepping on puddles, youth swaying

Verse 2
A paper airplane with folded wings between the pages of a textbook
Falling and shattering the silent glass heart
Mom says tears are courage pickled in salt
But I hide stubbornness in the bottom of my school bag

Pre-Chorus
Stumbling footsteps
Are letters written to the future
Lost stars will fall as markers
And passion is the flame still burning in the pocket

Chorus
Flowers blooming in the cracks
Measuring scars with pain
If choices are palm prints intertwined,...
